I was thinking about the wedding superstition poem (something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue) and thought it sounded like a great idea for at least three challenges. I'm planning to run one a month (assuming I remember). And while I could start with something old, I have that many borrowed books, that I'm going to start there.
If you want to join in, tell us about your list of borrowed books (or planned, if you are, say, wait listed for them at the library), your hopes for reading them in March, or anything else related to borrowed books!

Date: 2022-03-06 07:53 am (UTC)I have nine books I want to have either DNFed or finished by the end of the month, two borrowed from family, two from a co-worker, and five from the local library. I'm kind of cheating, because between going to the library yesterday and writing this up today, I've already finished one and DNFed another, so really, I'm trying to get through seven books this month!
and the two 'finished'

Date: 2022-03-08 11:03 am (UTC)I have at least one of Lament and Ballad on the shelf, and no motivation to read them -- here's hoping one of you says good things about it! And I've recently got An Unkindness of Ghosts, so am going to put that in my 2022 long TBR list.

I also have Code This Game! by Meg Ray borrowed. It teaches kids how to program a tower defense game in Python. I am very much not a kid but checked it out anyway because I love video games. This is my third time working through the book; I lost previous work in hard drive crashes, alas. But the book is so fun I don't mind doing it again.

Date: 2022-03-08 12:25 am (UTC)1) Something old: Pride and Prejudice. I need some Jane Austen in my life.
2) Something new: The last book I bought was Winter's Orbit so let's do that.
3) Something borrowed: Gumbo Ya-Ya. I have had this book borrowed from my girlfriend (!!) for longer than she's been my girlfriend (!!!) and I really need to return it.
4)Something blue: Animorphs Megamorphs 1 has a blue cover and I need to get at least that far to stay on pace for this book club.

Date: 2022-03-08 11:05 am (UTC)I absolutely adored Winter's Orbit, but did find it a bit emotionally challenging (references to abuse in a past relationship, and attendant issues in the current one).
I was thinking just one of the lines for March, and then doing each of the others in other months, but if this works for you as a list, that is fabulous!
