I have nine books I want to have either DNFed or finished by the end of the month, two borrowed from family, two from a co-worker, and five from the local library. I'm kind of cheating, because between going to the library yesterday and writing this up today, I've already finished one and DNFed another, so really, I'm trying to get through seven books this month!
Grief Hole - Kaaron Warren (started, needs to be read in small bits, because Warren's horror tends to get to me)
Zoo City - Lauren Beukes (started, put down because it is grim. Either need to give it another go or return)
Norse Mythology - Neil Gaiman (started; put down because I got bored. This might be a book thing, but it is more likely to be a brain thing; read a chapter at a time is the new goal)
*No Gods, No Monsters * - Cadwell Turnbull (not started; 'ooh, that looks pretty' selection from the library)
Jacinda Ardern biography (random selection from library; Youngest is currently reading)
Shadow of the Fox - Julie Kagawa (not started; possibly book 1 of series?)
Midnight Bargain - C L Polk (library; not started; have seen it recommended)
and the two 'finished'
A Psalm for the Wild Built - Becky Chambers -- thank you to everyone who has been recommending this, because I saw it on the library shelves, and recognised it. 5 stars, thoroughly recommended for those who like stories about the everyday lives of people, where nothing big goes wrong.
The Reckless Afterlife of Harriet Stoker - Lauren James. This was my 'outside my comfort zone' pick from the library, and I hated it.
