November Group Read!
It's getting to be that time of year- time for the
readingtogether November Group Read!
Like previous years, there's no theme, no minimum, no maximum... The only guideline is to read and, if you'd like, tell us about it. We'll get started on the first of the month and go til the last of the month.
All sorts of words are welcome - novels, non-fiction, comics, subtitles, audiobooks, poetry, that old notebook of scribbles you keep finding, short stories, kids books, encyclopedias, and whatever else you can think of.

First is a set of Python books I got from Humble Bundle. I want to read the most beginning book in the set. It *might* be too easy for me, or it might not, we'll see! But a friend read it recently and said it was really good, so I'm sure I'll get something out of it.
The other is Courtney Milan's The Brothers Sinister box set. I've read/re-read some of the books in it already, but I'd like to finish them. I believe the next book I have to read in the series is one I attempted to read before and bounced off of for some reason. I'd like to give it another try.

During November I want to finish some books I have started but not finished. Except that I thought I’d put them in a pile so I could list them and easily grab whichever one took my fancy only to find there are way too many to read in a month. So I plan to finish four out of the following books.
City of Brass - SA Chakraborty
Farewell to Berlin - Christopher Isherwood
The Night Tiger - Yangtze Choo
Mexican Gothic - Silvia Moreno-Garcia
Cinema II Gilles Deleuze
Spinning Silver - Naomi Novik
Islands of Abandonment - Cal Flynn
(I actually have more half-read books lurking about, but these are all ones from this year, I’d like to attempt to clear my feet before the new year.)

Oh, I don't want to think about my half-read books. Probably a good idea to start a little pile of my own though. ^^;;

According to storygraph, I have 32 books I'm partway through. Some of this is because I've just not been motivated on that particular book, some because they are online and I struggle to keep reading. So, looking back through the list and picking a small number, with the goal of finishing at least two
In reality, I'll probably read a completely different set of books. My goal is to either read or DNF all of those books by the end of the year, so that I can do the same thing again next year :)
