kalloway: Lit patio lanterns (Patio Lanterns)

It's getting to be that time of year- time for the [community profile] readingtogether November Group Read!

Like previous years, there's no theme, no minimum, no maximum... The only guideline is to read and, if you'd like, tell us about it. We'll get started on the first of the month and go til the last of the month.

All sorts of words are welcome - novels, non-fiction, comics, subtitles, audiobooks, poetry, that old notebook of scribbles you keep finding, short stories, kids books, encyclopedias, and whatever else you can think of.

According to storygraph, I have 32 books I'm partway through. Some of this is because I've just not been motivated on that particular book, some because they are online and I struggle to keep reading. So, looking back through the list and picking a small number, with the goal of finishing at least two

  • From Knowledge To Power: The Comprehensive Handbook for Climate Science and Advocacy (pdf)
  • SPQR: A History of Ancient Rome
  • The Grief Hole (Kaaron Warren)
  • The Vertigo Years: Europe 1900-1914
  • An Informal History of the Hugos (Jo Walton)

In reality, I'll probably read a completely different set of books. My goal is to either read or DNF all of those books by the end of the year, so that I can do the same thing again next year :)
