pebblerocker: Mary Bennet frowns: "I should infinitely prefer a book" (I should infinitely prefer a book)
From: [personal profile] pebblerocker
I finished the first book on my list and started the second, and then went to a second-hand book sale and bought a bag of books and read two of them, and I'm nearly through the second book on my list and finding it takes a bit of concentration. I think it has too many descriptive passages so I'm unintentionally skipping ahead to find some action, and it could have done with more editing to make the sentences flow better. Ever read a book where you can pinpoint the chapter at which the editor or proofreader tired of their job? One of those.

0: Seeds of Earth - Michael Cobley (finished)
0.1: Jill Has Two Ponies - Ruby Ferguson (finished)
0.2: Fair Girls & Grey Horses - Josephine, Diana and Christine Pullein-Thompson (an autobiography - finished)
1: The Orphaned Worlds - Michael Cobley (on page 408/467)
2: The Patience Stone - Atiq Rahimi
3: Unseen Academicals - Terry Pratchett
4: The Fallen Kings - Cynthia Harrod-Eagles
