Two weeks into the challenge, half way through! Are we all forging ahead with our tasks, or are we stalling and in need of some cheerleading?

*waves pompoms*

Check in below with your triumphs and tribulations. Celebrate the achievements big and small, whether you got through a whole book or merely made a start on a book that's been taunting you for ages.

Checking in!

0. C.J. Cherryh, Destroyer.
1. C.J. Cherryh, Pretender. -- current; page 361/404!
2. C.J. Cherryh, Deliverer.
3. C.J. Cherryh, Conspirator.
4. Amy Thompson, The Color of Distance.
5. Douglas Hulick, Among Thieves.
6. Alana Morland, Shackle and Sword.

Not as far along as I'd hoped to be, but reasonable, considering some real life things got in the way (and then I forgot to bring my book to work with me two days in a row, so there went two wasted lunch breaks!) and I still definitely have time to catch up.

Welp, I'm doing terribly because I've been ill and just rereading familiar and beloved books. I'm partway through two of my ten books, but I also contrived to leave them in Cardiff while I'm visiting my parents in Yorkshire. Oops.

I did reread The Lord of the Rings start to finish in twenty-four hours, though?

I finished the first book on my list and started the second, and then went to a second-hand book sale and bought a bag of books and read two of them, and I'm nearly through the second book on my list and finding it takes a bit of concentration. I think it has too many descriptive passages so I'm unintentionally skipping ahead to find some action, and it could have done with more editing to make the sentences flow better. Ever read a book where you can pinpoint the chapter at which the editor or proofreader tired of their job? One of those.

0: Seeds of Earth - Michael Cobley (finished)
0.1: Jill Has Two Ponies - Ruby Ferguson (finished)
0.2: Fair Girls & Grey Horses - Josephine, Diana and Christine Pullein-Thompson (an autobiography - finished)
1: The Orphaned Worlds - Michael Cobley (on page 408/467)
2: The Patience Stone - Atiq Rahimi
3: Unseen Academicals - Terry Pratchett
4: The Fallen Kings - Cynthia Harrod-Eagles
