glinda: a pile of books with a tea cup on top of them and the word 'bibliotherapy' (bibliotherapy)

It's the end of week three of the challenge, how goes it for all of you? Hope you've all had a better reading week than I have, mine really doesn't bear close scrutiny!

Are we starting to flag a bit as November grinds on or have we triumphs to share? Anyone defeat a book that's been taunting them for long and weary? Share your reading triumphs and disasters in the comments below.

I've only finished one from my list this week 'The Girl With All The Gifts', but I've also finished the long library audio loan that came in, and a couple of short ebooks 'The Very First Damned Thing' by Jodi Taylor, 'Social Skills: The Top Ten Things That Destroy your Charisma' by Stuart Killian and 'Genghis Khan: A Life from Beginning to End' by Henry Freeman and I also listened to 'Before the Fall'.

I'm struggling with 'Shadow of Night' by Deborah Harkness - I just don't seem to be able to get into it properly, but don't dislike it enough to make it an easy decision to give up. In ebook form, I'm now trying 'Children of Blood and Bone' but haven't got very far with it yet and in audio 'Find me' which again I've not really found myself wanting to return to yet. As I still have 5 left on my original list, it's not looking like I will finish my plan to get through them all (particularly as two of them are about 600 pages long and one about 400). I have already finished 17 books though so it's not too much of a disaster.

I've managed to pick up momentum this last week. I've not finished any of the books I've started, but I am making good strides. I intend to get some reading done this week, as travelling, and contemplating not having wifi.
