Return of the November Group Read?

*cracks knuckles*

So, I completely forgot to organise this last year but as I've actually rememebered in reasonable time this year I thought I'd see if anyone else would be interested in playing again?

So for the uninitated or the forgetful, an explanation: inspired by frantic scribblings of the Nanowrimo participants there's been an informal conterpart here where people sign up to read a certain number of books that they own but have never got round to reading. I make weekly check in posts so people can report their sucesses or confess to their failures. It's very informal and only as competitive as you want it to be (every year I dream of getting through a book a week, and every year I'm just happy if I've read two all month at the start of December...) Basically this can be as big or as little of a commitment as you feel up to. Dependant on your reading speed/available time you can sign up to read one book or ten books. Doesn't matter how big or small the book, only that its something that has been taking up space on your book shelf (or case/box/tottering pile beside your bed) for some time and you've never quite got round to it.

*looks around hopefully*

I'll sign up - will have to go decide what to tackle though (and how many!)

I've got a tentative list started now but it's subject to change based on what I get through between now and the end of the month, so I won't reveal my tentative choices just yet.

That sounds like fun. And looking at my book piles, it would be really useful too.

I'm in! Is this where we should sign up/share goals and lists, or will there be another post for that? *makes note to come back soon if it's this post*

I love your reading kitty icon. Good luck with your 3 - have you decided which 3 or are you going to decide nearer/at the time?

I'll decide nearer the time, I think. I've plans right now, but I may finish them before November.

Ooooh, this is perfect for my. I've been meaning to read Pamela Dean's Secret Country trilogy ever since I hunted down all the books, but books that have library due dates always end up taking precedence...so clearly this will give me the incentive to finally get to the trilogy!

I'd like to join in! I have at least two off the top of my head, but I know I own plenty that I haven't read. So I'll probably aim for 3 books.
