I'm still slowly making my way through From Far Away. Last week was far more busy than I had expected it to be and this week is busy too. ^^;;

I finished On Becoming a Person. It was a worthwhile read, but I was glad to be done and able to move on to other books.

I have made minimal, but at least some progress on one of the library books. And have now been sent a 'give them back you bastard' email, which I am choosing to ignore, because the library will. not. notify me when they auto-renew, so that I remember I have the books. And I can't opt out of auto-renew, which means suddenly I get messages that I'm out of renewals.

Yay for some progress and wow, that sounds like an awkward and unhelpful system.

I'm so grumpy about this system, and the fact that nothing can be done. It means I go to a different library, which I feel bad about, because the one with the awful system is the one I pay rates towards.
