I've almost finished Your Inner Fish, albeit distracted by other books, making books, and also being Deeply Bloody Disappointed in the beta test for Dissidia Duellum.
I've read three chapters of my current non-fiction book this week - which only has five chapters so that's a decent chunk! (It's academic film theory, so they're fairly dense chapters but they're not that long.) For related reasons I now really want to re-watch Hellsing - the anime, not the Hugh Jackman vehicle - which I haven't seen in about 20 years and I'm a bit dubious as to whether it'll hold up...
Poorly. I'm still wading through Naomi Novik's Spinning Silver. (I've made it through emotional speculative sci-fi superhero comic books on the kindle - but not sure that counts? It's just pictures and dialogue, like reading a action packed play with art!) Also, re-listening to graphic audio audiobooks which is well listening not reading.
I think work is an issue? I read and edit a lot of technical and legal material for work, and read for pleasure in snatches on the train ride. Did get reading done in doctor's offices - and going to and from them.
I think the last time I saw any of Hellsing was via one anime club or other so it's also been about 20 years. If you do get back to it, let me know? I'm kind of curious now.
Visual novels are a form of video game that are text-heavy and basically akin to a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure. You read the story and at important junctures you make a choice on how to proceed.
Basically for the November event, if I'm the one running it, I want to go with maximum inclusiveness. Especially with how busy and complicated the world is right now. ^^;;
Ah thanks. I've not run across that since...the 1980s. A far more rudimentary form, of course. Not to mention more frustrating - since it was MS DOS. Think the old Apple II computers, circa 1981.
