3 Weeks 4 Dreamwidth Minithon

(stealin' this from last year!)

Since it's time for [community profile] 3weeks4dreamwidth, let's have a little reading* minithon until the 15th of May. Pick a book*, any book, and read! (You can even pick more than one, that's fine!)

If you'd like, share your plans in the comments!

*as usual - 'read' and 'book' are wide open and audiobooks, visual novels, etc. are welcome.

Right now I'm reading The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax, and it's fun! I'm not sure what I'll be reading immediately after, as I have these lined up, in no particular order:
  • How I Stole the Princess's White Knight and Turned Him to Villainy by AJ Sherwood
  • The Idol Effect by MC Sakala
  • Nine Tailed by Jayci Lee
  • Amelia's Intrigue by Judith A Landsdowne
  • Gather the Bones by Alison Stuart

I‘m going to make a push to finish Before the Coffee Gets Cold.

I shall attempt to finish two books! The one I'm currently reading out of the library and any one of the - I think - four others that are sitting about half-read.

I'm hosting a readalong of Aurora Australis, the first book written and published in Antarctica in 1908. This week is 1 / 10, The Ascent of Mount Erebus, and there's a post for comment, reaction, discussion, fanworks, links, and any related matters. People can join the readalong at any time or skip sections or go back to earlier posts. It's all good. :-)

Reminder for next week: Midwinter Night, a short poem by Ernest Shackleton:

I'm going to go for an overly optimistic set of maybes, and be really really happy if I achieve 50%

    1. get my 'currently reading' below ten (currently 14; I've opened every one of those and made progress this week)
    2. read weeks 2 and 3 of The Artist's Way and do the activities (stretch: and week 4)
    3. return the four library books - optionally finish reading them (this is a partial overlap with 1)
    4. read the 5 Katherine MacLean short stories
    5. read something out of the reading wishlist (mostly short stories)

This adds up to finishing 7 books, reading 2 chapters of a book that I find uninteresting but respect has potential value, and reading some short stories. Given that multiple books are past 50%, it isn't actually that much reading, I just have to do that instead of obsessively playing games on the ipad.
