Somewhat belated but in my defense I was moving house over the end of October/start of November so I do have a bit of an excuse...
For those new to the comm, for the last couple of Novembers, inspired by frantic scribblings of the Nanowrimo participants there's been an informal conterpart here where people sign up to read a certain number of books that they own but have never got round to reading. I make weekly check in posts so people can report their sucesses or confess to their failures. It's very informal and only as competitive as you want it to be (every year I dream of getting through a book a week, and every year I'm just happy if I've read two all month at the start of December...) Basically this can be as big or as little of a commitment as you feel up to. Dependant on your reading speed/available time you can sign up to read one book or ten books. Doesn't matter how big or small the book, only that its something that has been taking up space on your book shelf (or case/box/tottering pile beside your bed) for some time and you've never quite got round to it.
So my question is...anyone up for it this year? Or have I left it too late and you all have other challenges in hand?
eta. Ok, it looks like we are in fact, doing this thing. Therefore please feel free to use the comments of this post to sign up/stake your personal challenge and I'll post the first check in post on Sunday (seeing that the last day of the month will be one that should work out nicely).
