I've started Patience & Esther. It's really sweet so far.

I read three volumes of "Banana Fish", a manga! So started a lot of manga... finished just about none of them, but I did read a lot of things, anyway.

That's a lot of reading done! Do you plan to stick with all the manga you started?

[autumndaze]

Yeah, they're all series I'd like to finish, and plan to finish! It's just a matter of... picking something and going for it lol I have a habit of not finishing manga without some outside impetus.

The heat broke just enough for me to be able to focus, so I read Yagi the Bookshop Goat, which is a single-volume BL manga. It was pretty cute.

That sounds sweet. Does the goat work in the bookshop?

Yes and he definitely eats part of his paychecks. ^^;;

(He probably has accidentally eaten his paycheck, literally, as well.)

I'm not sure I'd hire someone who eats the merchandise, but maybe he's really good at sales? *g*

It is, and was just what I needed after weeks of being too hot to even read. ^_^;

No further progress, but I'm happy with the one that I did read, because the challenge spurred me on to read something I should have read years ago! Thank you for running the challenge.

Ah I‘m sorry to have missed this challenge, I would have liked to get back into my art books again. Ah well, there is always next time.

Are your books about art works or about how to do art?
I'm happy to bring the challenge back if there's interest. Maybe September or October?

Mostly about art works and those are the ones I‘m interested in reading. I bought a couple of huge tomes on Chinese art that I have partially read, ut I really want to get back to.

That sounds really cool. I don't know much about Chinese art, but I'm sure there's plenty of interesting stuff to discover.
