I met one goal: finished The House of Always. The thing with the Chorus of Dragons series is they are very long and complex epic fantasy doing interesting things with narrative structure (and also a lot of snarky footnotes), and so occasionally I get a bit lost. They're very page-turning though. I think maybe when I've read book five, I want to reread the whole thing from the beginning and see if I get less lost.
I did not start any of my other options, a mixture of not fancying any of them, forgetting to pick up a library book on at least one trip, and having actual conversations instead on some of the train journeys (twice with people there in person, once on the phone with my brother).
I played a bit of the Bad North demo and liked it well enough, though it's more of a noodling game than something I'll play for hours at a time.
Watched both The Matrix and a tape of some concerts from MTV, both from The Bin. I hadn't seen the Matrix in about twenty years, so it was both new and familiar.
As far as books go, I got nothing. I'm just kind of happy I managed what I did. ^^;;
I finished "Iron Widow" on Friday and ultimately didn't "finish" many fanfics lol But I'm reading through roughly 400 of them to see if any catch my interest and probably actually browsed ~100 or so, so I'm calling that a win.
I... did not meet my goals. In retrospect, I was being very demanding of my own concentration and ability to relax, given I had an urgent medical appointment/scan booked for today. So early on Sunday I gave myself permission to slack off, and I only read a bit of each book in total, but I'm okay with that.
I made progress. I continue to read on the train each day, although I've been devoting a not inconsiderable amount of time to, of all things, a long-ish Batman fic that is making me realise how much of the comics knowledge I only have through osmosis, and I keep wondering what I'm missing!
