Something old weekly check in
Apr. 18th, 2022 11:01 pmI'm running late on this this week, and really should be in bed, so you get last week's post copy pasta:
If you have had time to read this week, and if you have had the wherewithal to spend on the books you picked for the Something Old challenge, what have you read?
If you haven't focused on the challenge, or just read the cereal box at breakfast (or any other meal; cereal is an anytime food in this house), feel free to talk about that instead!

Date: 2022-04-18 05:52 pm (UTC)Well, I wasn't specifically doing the challenge, but I did read a book first bought in 2020 (and then bought and immediately read its sequel) so that's a win.
(Empire of Sand and Realm of Ash by Tasha Suri: a fantasy duology inspired by Mughal India, and highly recommended. Also I had the privilege to meet Tasha Suri at Eastercon over the weekend and she was the nicest human you could hope to meet, and has a YA remix of Wuthering Heights coming out this summer: What Souls Are Made Of.)
