Something borrowed weekly check-in

'Tis late on Saturday here, and it seems as good a time as any to ask how everyone's week has gone in reading their borrowed books. Have you read any? Finished any? Returned anything? Gone to the library, failed to return anything, and borrowed more books? (guilty) Read something different while the borrowed books gather dust?

Update us! No judgements, just congratulations and sympathy.

Last week, I had seven borrowed books to finish. Now, I have eleven. One of the new ones is a junior primary chapter book, and I anticipate finishing it tomorrow. The other three new ones are bilingual chinese/english early readers, and my goal is to work through them a page at a time, looking up the Chinese and attempting to learn to recognise some more words.

My goals for the coming week are

1. at least one more chapter of Norse Mythology
2. finish Willodeen
3. progress at least one other borrowed book

I mean, that's the general course of my TBR anyway, borrowed or not. Somehow, it grows, no matter how much I read. XD

I understand your problem - although this week all additions have been from sales and charity shops so not 'expensive' in cost (only in storage space!)

Indeed to both of you -- the TBR pile (and the wishlist of 'can I find that') grows much faster than my time for reading.

This is such a mood, there's just so much to read out there in the world. I need to stop surrounding myself with interesting people who make interesting recommendations, or find more hours in the day, one of the two...
