I managed a couple of chapters of the first volume of the manga series I intended to read. Unfortunately, work basically annihilated my ability to everything and while I did a bit of other reading, it wasn't much of anything either. But now I know where the series is and can hopefully get to it this month. ^_^

I've made pretty substantial progress in SPQR, a book I received for my birthday in...2019? It's not done yet but it's a legit doorstopper so.

Hooray! (I have a doorstopper on hold at the library and I can't imagine trying to read it in a week, so I get you!)

I've had too many failed library doorstoppers to ever try that again. I can't handle that kind of pressure!

One part other things and several parts beaten to death by the "holiday" week, really. I did finish a few books though despite all.

*hugs* Yeah, things definitely didn't go as planned/hoped but I'm glad you got to read a few things~

New plans are needed, clearly --

A complete and utter fail to finish the books I'd aimed to finish - I did make some progress on one of them but not the real 'lingering' one. Not to worry though, I'll get to it eventually.

Alas, I got sick, so I've been sleeping more than reading! Hopefully I can finish my half-read things when I'm feeling a little better.

I finished the two library books I've had out forever, and that can't be renewed.

...And when I tried to return them today the book drop was overflowing, so I ended up taking them right back home. Go figure...

...I guess everyone had the same idea and got their books read too. ^^;;

I managed one session, in which I refreshed the first half dozen or so pages of the book, reminded myself of some terminology, and then didn't come back to it. I foresee doing exactly the same thing at some point in the future.

That sounds like me with a few books, alas. But hey, we try!

This is me and any kind of textbook that I don't need Right Now (ie. unless I am studying the topic that semester. Nothing beats the semester I spent three weeks sitting watch over kid-in-hospital, where I read so much of the textbook I apparently answered extra in the exam)
