glinda: a pile of books with a tea cup on top of them and the word 'bibliotherapy' (bibliotherapy)

We're (almost) half way through the month now and how are we getting on? Procrastinating wildly? Reading everything except what we intended to? (That’ll be me in the corner with a paperback, ignoring my hardbacks!) Forging ahead and putting everyone else to shame?!

*waves pompoms enthusiastically*

Check in below with your triumphs and tribulations. Celebrate the achievements big and small, whether you got through a whole book or merely made a start on a book that's been taunting you for ages.

It's me, the one who had A Plan and then promptly suddenly found myself finding other things to read that were even more interesting than the Plan. *lol*

On the upside, reading is happening, two nice big foodie/cookbooks (one is D&D related, lol) and a chunky textbook on the rise and fall of ancient cities. And I'm rereading a pile of Legend Of The Five Rings sourcebooks for Reasons[tm] and arguably they also count X3

See if you ask me, you're reading and that's winning! The Plan pfft! As opposed to A Plan you also have a Plan B and that's going awesomely *grin*

This week I finished 'The Sealed Letter' and 'Artemis' both of which were pretty good (in very different ways) and I am still plodding through 'Fractured'. This is not a reflection on the latter more a reflection on my energy levels by the time of day I'm picking it up.

I've also started 'Vanity Fair' which wasn't on the original list and is loooooong. I've finished all of the other audios that were on my list (not all of the ones available though by a long way), which is why I've started this. It's taking a bit more brain power and so I'm not making very fast progress - maybe an audio chapter a day which is about an hour and 1/4 listening - the audio chapters are comprised of several actual chapters.

I sincerely hope to put a concerted effort into finding out what happens in the rest of Fractured and finishing in advance of next week.

I'm distracted from The Shelf by the many library books that turned up last week, but still making progress. I think once I finish off the library books due back this month, I'll dive into my own stuff and worry about library books due in December in December.

(We all know this has only a 50/50 success rate, though?)

I'm two thirds of the way through The Reign of Wolf 21 from the list and 20 pages into another. Hopefully I can finish the first this weekend and pop it in a little free library.

In a development that should surprise no one, I've done three times as much reading from a couple of library books that weren't on the list...

I'm still working on the "finish two books currently underway" part of the project, but I've made better progress this week than last week! I think I've read on the order of 100 pages one of the books I'm in the middle of, volume 3 of Alastair Campbell's diaries, and have less than 250 pages to go to finish it (and a mostly clear weekend to keep reading, this week)!

I have ticked off items 2 and 3 from my list, although #3 was read in hard copy, it was still in my ebooks list, so I'm counting it. I'm currently trying to work out what should be next, because the next one I picked turned out to be something for later, and not actually on the list!

ETA: prompted by writing this, I've gone and checked my list, and pulled up the next candidate. I was on chapter three, but as I remember none of what I've read, I'm starting it from the beginning again.
