November Group Read: Ready, Steady, Read!

Alright, so that was an overwhelmingly positive response so let's do the thing.

Checkins will be on Wednesdays except for the final one which will be a Thursday! As ever, there are no penalties for checkin in late, missing a check-in or not making your target. It's all about encouraging each other to read more than we would have otherwise. If you've got a list or a target, feel free to share it in the comments below! And most importantly - have fun!

This will be my third month signed up at [community profile] thestoryinside, and I've only finished one of the books picked for me--all of which are on my 2023 reading wishlist! So, my minimum goal is to finish at least one book from each month's set. The stretch goal is to read all three from at least one month.

The five I have now are

  • Sorrowland - Rivers Solomon
  • The Sinister Booksellers of Bath - Garth Nix
  • The Gilded Ones - Namina Forna
  • All Out: The No-Longer-Secret Stories of Queer Teens Throughout the Ages - Saundra Mitchell
  • Gender Identity and Sexuality in Current Fantasy and Science Fiction - Francesca T. Barbini

Three of these are 'in progress'.

And, just to have too many goals - my 'currently reading' list is sitting at over 30, and I'd like to pick up and finish enough of the ones that haven't been touched in ages that I get that under 30.
