Flying challenge
Jan. 20th, 2023 07:23 pmI'll be spending something like 28 hours over the next day sitting either in airports or on aeroplanes. Which means lots of reading in my future! I have one physical book that I picked up in an op shop as 'might be interesting, I'll be fine if I leave it behind', three ebooks on library loan through Libby, a handful of other ebooks on my device, and two basic books on Chinese to read. I have no idea how much reading I'm going to be doing, but I'd love to finish at least one book (which might be Casey McQuiston's One Last Stop, but I note that two of my other ebook loans now have other people waiting, so I might try and power through the one that is giving me the irrits, or start the other one) over that time!
Anyone else want to set a short term reading challenge?

Date: 2023-01-20 02:39 pm (UTC)I want to read one of this month's SF magazines (alternating with other activities if needed to take breaks between the short stories). I have a fair bit of downtime this weekend so this should be entirely achievable.
For bonus points, I'd like to read at least one chapter of at least one of my three currently checked-out library books.
